Our backyard is just overflowing with "life". I'm lovin the cooler summer weather and it seems that all the little critters do too.
Thought I'd just post some more photos of the back yard...perhaps the colors and shapes will inspire you to take a closer look in your own back yard...
Life's smallest detail doesn't go unnoticed...
It's about 6pm. and the sun is beginning to set in the west... some of life's creatures are just enjoying an afternoon siesta...
Even the lake has interesting plant life forming along the surface....
Believe it or not there are 4 babies crowded into that tiny nest...they are only a week old.
And in the crook of our other pillar is a nest of 3 baby birds that are about a month old... they are very demanding when it's feeding time.
Let's not forget our resident woodpecker "picking off" insects for his dinner... he's camouflaged very well.
At the other end of our garden pond is a lower pond with it's own little cascading waterfall...and one more resident...
Please don't waste another minute...get out there enjoy your surroundings and the people you share it with.
