Most days begin with "food prep" around our home... Todays menu? Fresh, Organic Veggie Soup.
Start with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and saute red onions and portabello mushrooms...sea salt, a dash of curry for a little "kick" of heat, rosemary and oregano....mmmm smelling good!
I added the Organic French Onion Broth...brought it to a boil...then let it cool to 115 degrees farenheit. Once it reached 115 degrees I added organic zuccini, yellow squash, celery, 1 can of roasted garlic tomatoes, 1 can of black beans, cooked brown rice, and lentils...put the lid back on and let it sit for about 20 minutes to soften the veggies. Why 115*F? Because if temperatures are above 118*F it kills the live enzymes in the veggies.
All of life is built on live enzymes...without a daily intake of raw food the body develops degenerative disease over time...heart disease, diabetes II, cancers, inflamatory diseases like RA or OA, lupus, acne, etc... Gotta get yer veggies...
What's next??? JUICING. YAY. Another way to get even more live enzymes into the body and blood stream...FAST. Oxygen in every sip....
I started with yellow squash...then celery, zuccini, cucumber, kale...and sometimes I add an organic "Granny Smith" green apple for a little sweetness...
It tastes great and "it does the body good"... Give it a try.
